Providing the very best, most effective and environmentally responsible soil and plant nutrient products

At Hybrid-Ag we are dedicated to providing the very best, most effective and environmentally responsible soil and plant nutrient products.
We aim to help growers succeed profitably, and in a manner that is compatible with the production of naturally nutritious and safe food.

Hybrid-Ag has had a long history working with many growers covering almost every fruit crop grown in Victoria, NSW and South Australia. Our approach with orchardists is to become a life-long partner sharing a vision to increase yields, increase quality of fruit and reduce the quantity, expenditure and dependency on chemical fertilisers. As the consumer becomes more aware and demanding of nutritional value in fresh food, any grower who embraces this concept will be ahead of the pack.

Many of the farming practices currently used both in Australia and overseas are being re-evaluated for their ability to sustain soils. The latest trends indicate a rapid change in farming methods, with consumers demanding higher quality produce that is safer and has higher nutritional value.

Our 3 Step Service

Step 1: Analyse
AN ACCURATE, COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS IS A VITAL INVESTMENT

Without accurate analysis it is impossible to provide the best advice, or make accurately guided decisions. At Hybrid-Ag we use an independent soil and tissue testing service which gives us genuinely comprehensive test data that is wonderfully easy to read and understand. This test includes a number of parameters not included in other tests. You cannot make the best decisions for your enterprise without having the best soil and plant analysis. If you already have recent tests from another laboratory, we can take that data and process it in our Audit program and prescribe a recommendation. Wherever possible we like to have more comprehensive data, as it gives necessary information which makes the analysis process far more accurate.

Step 2: Prescribe
CUSTOM BLENDING THE EXACT NUTRIENTS THAT YOUR SOIL NEEDS

The next step is to work out what your soil actually needs, based on the soil test data. This is rarely straightforward, but the Hybrid-Ag recommendation page helps in the process by showing in KG/HA the amount of each nutrient that particular soil needs to bring it into balance. The critical advantage here is that we are supplying exactly the nutrients that your soil needs, but NONE of the nutrients NOT needed. One of Hybrid’s experienced consultants can assist you in the process of working out the best mix of inputs to exactly match your soil’s needs, in accordance with your budget requirements.

Step 3: Supply
MIXING THE EXACT NUTRIENTS TO PROVIDE ALL YOUR SOIL NEEDS

Here there is two options available, Dry Blend which is a ground spread material or Liquid which you can use either in Fertigation of Foliar applications.

Dry Blending

Hybrid-Ag will blend the exact mix of nutrients worked out during the prescription step. The dry blend is normally mixed into a base of ‘Humax-50′ (a proprietary blend of concentrated, carbon rich and composted humates), as this material works like a big ‘sponge’, holding the blended nutrients and releasing them slowly. The ‘Humax-50′ also provides a very significant input of beneficial microorganisms. This is true fertilising – providing all your soil needs in a complete, balanced and complexed nutrient delivery system.

* Please note that these prescription blends are in a powder form that give a much more even coverage of the spread area than granules do. It also preserves the beneficial microbes that are in the blends, which are destroyed in a pelletising process. This simply means that the blends are spread with a normal lime spreader or ‘belt” spreader.

Liquid Blending

Hybrid Ag follows a very similar process to the one above with your liquids. Instead of using composted humates, a range of Chelating agents, Fish, Kelp and Fulvic and Humic Acids are used. This works to create a truly synergistic liquid, which ensures the most efficient plant uptake possible.
