Amplify
Amplify is a multi-functional spray adjuvant designed to reduce the pH of spray water and improve uptake by plants. It assists with the uptake of foliar nutrition by reducing surface tension and acidifying the spray solution for optimum uptake. It will soften hard water improving water quality to improve foliar uptake. It also increases droplet adherence to foliage. Amplify contains plant biostimulants to maximise uptake of the applied spray, allowing for improved absorption of the spray. It also contains wetters to improve the contact of the spray on the leaf and allow it to be most effectively absorbed.
The modes of action of the different ingredients
of Amplify are listed below:
Cell Sensitizers
Cell Sensitizers have the ability to increase the
permeability of the plant cell membrane, allowing
the plant cell to absorb significantly more than it
otherwise would.
Fulvic Acid
Fulvic Acid is included for its ability to assist with
the bio-degradation of chemicals once contact
with the soil occurs. Fulvic Acid is a powerful
microbial food and stimulant and the associated
increase in microbial activity can help to break
down chemical, thus reducing the binding
properties of chemical on metals such as
Manganese within the soil.
Algae Foods
Carbohydrate sources are included, as some chemicals can impact Algae (single-celled plants
that live on the surface of the soil) populations.
Algae’s role on the soil surface is at the top of
the biological food chain - it provides a food
source for beneficial soil microbes. Mortality of
Algae can reduce the food sources available to
beneficial microbial populations, so adding
a carbohydrate source to a spray replace
some of that food source, filling the gap until
the Algae recover.
Water conditioning agents are added to
maximise water quality and effectiveness. The 3 way mode of action in amplify includes:
• Softeners – for removing minerals that affect
spray quality
• pH adjusters – to buffer the spray water to 4 pH
• Coagulants and Flocculants – to ensure
bicarbonates, carbonates and sediments
are dropped from the solution.
Broadacre Application Rates
Application Rates for Knockdown herbicides and Foliar nutrition
500mL to 1L /100L water. Use high rate where
conditions for spraying are not optimal or larger hard
to control weeds. If using Terrador herbicide an oil
must be added for optimum control.
Application Rates for Reducing Drift
500mL to 1L/100L water. Check with your Agronomist for selecting nozzle size and best practice to reduce drift.
Mixing
Half fill the spray tank with water and commence agitation. Add the required quantity of Amplify then add the recommended rate of spray chemical with foliar nutrition and biological product being added last, whilst continuing to agitate the spray mixture.
Store in a cool place away from sunlight. Stir well before use.
